Research shows the average 12-year-old in the UK spends 21 hours a week on their smartphone, the equivalent to a part time job.

To tackle the problem, new Labour MP Josh MacAllister is trying to bring in a Private Members’ Bill to take action against addictive apps and would ban mobiles from all schools.
