A motorcycle officer with the La Habra Police Department was critically injured in a crash on Thursday morning, authorities confirmed.
The collision took place at 9:15 a.m. in the area of Lambert Road and Walnut Street in La Habra, according to a department press release. The unidentified officer, who was on duty at the time but not responding to a call, was transported to the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.
A post to social media made at 9:52 a.m. said that the officer was in critical condition.
La Habra PD confirmed to KTLA that the officer crashed into another car. There were only minor injuries sustained to others at the scene.
