Kumasi, the heart of Ghana’s Ashanti Region, has been announced as the host city for the 2025 Tech in Ghana Conference, marking a major milestone in decentralizing the country’s technology ecosystem. The announcement was made at the 2024 conference in Accra, which convened leading voices from the tech industry to explore innovation and its role in Ghana’s development.

Founder Akosua Annobil declared the decision a “strategic shift” to spotlight Ghana’s broader potential beyond its capital. “Kumasi is rising,” Annobil stated, adding that the Ashanti Region’s tech prospects are ready for global recognition.
