With the 2025 College Baseball season just around the corner, KSR will be previewing all 15 SEC teams that will be competing with Kentucky for an SEC crown this season. Up next; the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs returned to form last season, reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time since winning the whole thing in 2021. From 2022 to 2023, the Bulldogs posted a combined 53-56 (18-42) record and missed the Tournament in back-to-back seasons. Last season however, Chris LeMonis’ team compiled a 40-23 (17-13) record to earn a spot as the No. 2 seed in the Charlottesville Regional.
The Bulldogs however were no match for the No. 1 seeded Virginia Cavaliers, falling to them in both matchups. Virginia would go on to win the Charlottesville Regional and reach the Men’s College World Series. Mississippi State will open the season at No. 18 in D1Baseball’s Preseason …
