Kirkpatrick refuses to resign, says she’s “right person” [Video]

“I believe I am the right person for this time.”

That’s what New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said when defiantly rejecting call that she resign from her post.

On Tuesday, Kirkpatrick, flanked by members of the city’s religious community, spoke to the media and said she’s heard the negative comments about her and the NOPD in the wake of last week’s terror attack on Bourbon Street. However, Kirkpatrick said the support the city’s pastors have provided her is giving her the strength to keep going.
