Wedding bells will ring, because King Charles‘ “hot equerry” Lt. Col. Jonny Thompson is getting married!
On Oct. 29, it was announced in The Times that the King’s right-hand man is getting married to Olivia Lewis. Thompson became a social media sensation after King Charles’ accession in September 2022 when a video of him went viral on TikTok. He lit up the internet again on coronation day in May 2023, and a video of the equerry helping the King change robes at Westminster Abbey has been viewed over 115,000 times on X.
“Wouldn’t this guy make a brilliant James bond!” one commenter swooned, while another playfully called for Thompson to be crowned.
It was reported earlier this year that Thompson and Lewis were dating, and The Times announced their engagement Tuesday under the banner of “Forthcoming Marriages.”
