WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Country singer-songwriter Kevin Fowler headlined a concert at The Warehouse in Wichita Falls, with proceeds to benefit the Volunteer Fire Department Fund at the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation.
There are several Volunteer Fire Departments in the 24 county area of North Texas and Southwest Oklahoma.
“The thing about these volunteers is and I hope everybody realizes this when a fire breaks out these volunteers don’t look at county lines they don’t look at city lines they go where they are needed. So giving to a fund like this helps fund all the departments that support fire protection all across the region,” Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation President, Leslie Schaffner said.
“Since 2006, when the foundation began, there has been $2.8 million dollars raised to support these volunteers,” Schaffner said.
Fowler has released several chart-toppers and is considered a staple in the country music industry. …
