Kenny Chesney announces Las Vegas residency [Video]

(CNN) – Kenny Chesney is headed to Las Vegas where a shirt and shoes will likely be required.

The country singer announced that a residency at the Sphere would begin later this year.

Fans of the “When The Sun Goes Down” singer speculated Chesney might be planning a show in Las Vegas after a social media post from the Sphere showed a video of a beach scene with a blue chair, guitar and cowboy hat, all references to Chesney.

He will perform 12 shows starting May 22 through June 14.

Tickets go on sale on Chesney’s website on Jan. 31.
