PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Kelly’s Closet MOV, a veteran-founded organization, moved locations on Monday.
The move came after the church that was sponsoring Kelly’s Closet, The Gathering, had to sell the building the organization was housed in.
Luckily for Kelly’s Closet, Pastor Shauna of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church had a space for them to move into.
Kelly has been serving the community for much longer than Kelly’s Closet MOV.
She served in the U.S. Air Force for over 21 years, stationed in places like Belgium, Venezuela, South America, and the Pentagon. She retired as a Chief Master Sgt.
The idea for Kelly’s Closet originated from the time she was in active duty, helping at orphanages being a big sister, and more.
In 2012, Polinsky was stationed at The Pentagon. During her time there, she unexpectedly became a mother to her first adoptive child.
