KBI investigates an inmate death at Wyandotte County Detention Center [Video]

WYANDOTTE COUNTY, Kan. (KCTV) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is investigating the death of a Wyandotte County jail inmate.

On Wednesday just before 3 p.m., a man was experiencing a medical emergency. Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office staff immediately responded to render help.

According to a press release, emergency responders were called while staff began life-saving measures.

The man said to be in his thirties, was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

At this time, his identity will not be released until the family is notified.
