The bus service said its last line-up of the day would leave Knoxville Station at 5:15 p.m. and only offer outbound service.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knoxville’s transit service said Friday that it would suspend service due to hazardous road conditions after a winter storm dumped several inches of snow in the area.
Knoxville Area Transit said its last line-up of the day would head out from Knoxville Station at 5:15 p.m. and only offer riders outbound service. It also said on social media that its operations team was monitoring the roads and that service would resume when it was safe.
The decision comes after several crashes were reported in East Tennessee due to the weather. Nobody should travel if they do not need to during the winter storm.
