Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity creates space for fatherhood community discussions [Video]

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — An impactful program that focuses on the concerns and needs of fathers in today’s society is getting us uplifted.

The program, put on by the Alexandria-Fairfax alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., is specifically meant to provide safe and equitable spaces for fathers to talk about and build on their shared experiences as fathers and father figures in their communities.

Incorporating three key pillars of impact, outreach and activity, the fraternity’s fathers initiative recently held a meeting open to the community at the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria calling on the men and father figures to take part in an in-depth conversation about the concept of respect and deference as fathers, uncles, sons and father figures.
