Johnson and Wyandotte counties experienced record-breaking turnout on the first day of early in-person voting. The Johnson County Election Office said 14,690 people voted, while Wyandotte County recorded 2,250 voters. This turnout in Johnson County nearly doubles the number from the first day of advance voting in 2020. Wyandotte County also marked its largest single day of early in-person voting in recent history.
