WASHINGTON — Kamala Harris is planning an event in the District just one week before the election, WUSA9 has learned.
According to a permit filed Friday with the National Park Service, the event was originally planned to be on the National Mall on Tuesday. However, a new location was chosen.
WUSA9 learned a new permit was issued Saturday morning, which signals that the event will take place at the Ellipse. With as many as 20,000 attendees expected, the permit also plans for 250 staff, organizers, and volunteers.
The ‘First Amendment Political Speech’ event will start Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. but will be open to the public at 3:00 p.m.
