Judge allows new testing of electronics from Karen Read’s SUV [Video]

Judge Beverly Cannone issued several new decisions on Wednesday afternoon, just hours after hearing arguments on a flurry of motions from the defense and prosecution in the Karen Read murder case. Her orders include permitting the reassembly and testing of electronics from Karen Read’s SUV for testing by a new prosecution expert. Cannone gave Read’s defense five days to identify their own expert if they wanted someone to be present for the testing. After the hearing, Read said she believed that no additional relevant information would be found on the chips from the SUV. “It’s going to show what we’ve already pulled because we pulled it amply the first time,” she said.
