Juan Soto was in a celebratory mood after news broke of his record-breaking 15-year, $765 million contract with the Mets.
The superstar outfielder will make the short trek across town from the Bronx to Queens on a deal that is the richest in baseball history, and reportedly comes with a $75 million signing bonus, but first, he celebrated in a hot tub and FaceTimed Mets superfan and Cavaliers superstar Donovan Mitchell, who posted a screenshot on social media as he himself rejoiced in the news of the Mets landing arguably the biggest free agent in the history of the sport.
Soto was also seen on an Instagram video getting surprised by family with beer showers in the pool as they celebrated Soto becoming the richest star in the game, as the caption included “Mets babyyyy.”
Soto threw his arms up in triumph as his family congratulated him, and they will follow him to Queens as he becomes the face of a Mets franchise …
