HERNANDO, Miss (WMC) – Joshua Zimmerman has pleaded not-guilty to the charges that landed him in the DeSoto County Jail before he allegedly walked out of the courtroom in June.
Zimmerman is charged with attempted murder after investigators say he tried to kill his roommate in DeSoto County.
He is also charged with kidnapping, two counts of credit card fraud, receiving stolen property, and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Court records show he pleaded not-guilty to all charges and waived his arraignment on December 16.
His contempt of court charge was dismissed.
Zimmerman is accused of walking out of the Hernando courthouse in June. He was on the run for months and led multiple agencies on a multi-state manhunt over the summer.
