Manchester – Jon Jones may be on the fence about fighting Tom Aspinall, but following UFC 304, Dana White appears to be sold.
The UFC President and CEO was bullish on Aspinall following his performance in the co-main event of the Manchester card, where there UFC interim heavyweight champ put away Curtis Blaydes early.
“Whoever wins the fight between Jon Jones and Stipe is a great fight for Aspinall,” White exclaimed during the post-fight press conference in Manchester, speaking with media outlets including Cageside Press.
Oh course, there’s no guarantee either man, Jones or Miocic, won’t simply retire after that meeting. For White, however, the possibility remains a fun one.
“Whatever is going to happen when they fight is going to happen, and we’ll go from there,” stated White. “But as fans, we can all say ‘ooh, that’s a fun fight.’ No matter who wins.”
With that in mind, it appears Tom Aspinall has a new assignment. …
