Johnson County looking for public feedback on improvements to public transit system [Video]

JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. (KCTV) – Officials with the Johnson County Government are seeking the community’s input into the county’s public transit system.

According to a release from the county on Wednesday, Johnson County’s Transit Strategic Plan is in the process of an “extensive public outreach” that includes the Board of County Commissioners, users of the system, the Johnson County Transportation Council and the broader county community.

Two upcoming pop-up events on Sunday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 21 will allow the public an opportunity to interact with the project. Those events at which the public is encouraged to stop by and share thoughts on public transit are as follows:

  • Santa visits Family Tree Nursery, 7036 Nieman Rd., Shawnee from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15
