John Waters to Cover “Jingle Bells” Ahead of Christmas Tour [Video]

The wonderfully weird, esoteric filmmaker and artist John Waters is gearing up for his annual “A John Waters Christmas” comedy tour. To preview the run, he’s announced a 7-inch vinyl that boasts his take on The Singing Dogs’ “Jingle Bells,” which is set to arrive physically and digitally on November 8th.

Produced by the Grammy-winning Ian Brennan, the press release describes Waters’ “Jingle Bells” cover as a “howling turn that should delight (and possibly dismay) dog owners everywhere.” Opposite the cover will be “It’s a Punk Rock Christmas,” which is reportedly a spoken word track about “the punk rock spirit during the anxiety-provoking season.” Pre order it via Sub Pop records here.
