Joe Scarborough Blasts WSJ Over JD Vance FEMA Op-Ed [Video]

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough blasted the Wall Street Journal and accused the newspaper of “running lies” by publishing an editorial by Republican running mate Senator JD Vance (R-OH) parroting claims that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was diverting disaster relief resources to migrant housing projects.

Vance’s opinion editorial, published on Wednesday, accused the Biden administration of “incompetence” and failing in its disaster relief response to Hurricane Helene.

The senator and VP candidate accused the Biden administration of trying “to reorient FEMA’s institutional focus away from U.S. citizens and toward aliens who either have no legal right to be here or whose legal status depends on the say-so of the Biden-Harris administration.” This attempt to “shift FEMA’s priorities,” Vance claims, left the citizens of hurricane-impacted states “suffering for days.”
