YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY)– Jean Paul “JP” Broussard is hoping to continue his public service by running for Chief of Police in Youngsville.
“My goal at the end of the day is to make young people the safest city in the state for the children, the families and the citizens,” Broussard said.
Broussard dedicated 27 years to public service — first as a paramedic with Acadian Ambulance and then as a deputy with the Marshall’s office. He also graduated from the FBI Leadership Academy.
He said he’s focused on increasing the number of officers on duty, getting the department nationally accredited, and gaining community trust.
