The Star said heard that Harris is “not Black.” Naturally, the internet did its thing and had some serious thoughts for the “Together Again” singer, especially as she has long been vocal about social justice throughout her career.
In a statement obtained by Buzzfeed, Jackson’s manager Mo Elmasri spoke on the controversial comments. It reads that Jackson, “deeply respects Vice President Kamala Harris.” She emphasized she especially respects her accomplishments as a Black and Indian woman.
