Jamie Foxx addressing health scare at Atlanta shows [Video]

ATLANTA — Jamie Foxx is returning to Atlanta tonight, where he will perform three nights in a row in a one-man show touching on the recent health scare that left him hospitalized last year.

According to Atlanta radio station V-103, the actor/singer/comedian will take the stage for a live taping of his new comedy special, ‘What Had Happened Was: An Evening with Jamie Foxx.” The exclusive shows will take place Oct. 3-5 at the Coca-Cola Stage at the Alliance Theatre.

“Atlanta saved my life. ‘Cause I was here when it (his health scare) happened,” Foxx said in an Aug. 18 video posted to Instagram. “Atlanta saved me. If I had been anywhere else…”

Audiences can expect an “unforgettable” show as Foxx opens up about his “struggles, triumphs, and everything in between,” he posted.
