The winter holiday season will kick off with a bang later this month thanks to the return of an annual Christmas firework display and extravagant drive-thru display.Jackson County Parks + Rec’s Christmas in the Sky and Christmas in the Park are back this year, with plenty of holiday fun for families.The 26th annual Christmas in the Sky will light up Lee’s Summit on Nov. 27, at Longview Lake Beach, 11101 Raytown Road, two miles south of Interstate 470.Gates will open at 5 p.m. with a holiday stage show to follow at 6 p.m., and of course, the fireworks begin at 7:45 p.m. Admission is free.The stage show will showcase 100 singers and dancers from Monica’s School of Dance, the cast of Quality Hill Playhouse holiday cabaret and soul harpist Calvin Arsenia.
