IU Southeast partners with Louisville hospitals to launch medical laboratory science degree | Education [Video]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana Southeast and Louisville hospital groups are partnering on a workforce development partnership.

IU Southeast will be a degree program focused on laboratory science health care positions in partnership with Baptist Health, Norton Healthcare and UofL Health. It’s a five-year partnership, according to a news release.

The university in southern Indiana will offer a bachelor of science in medical laboratory science starting in the fall of 2025. Students will be trained to become medical technologists or clinical laboratory scientists. Students will learn how to analyze biological samples, along with diagnosing and treating diseases.
