If you’re not already eyeing props for Dolphins running back De’Von Achane, you should be. Not only is Achane coming off a massive performance against the Bills on Thursday Night Football, but head coach Mike McDaniel spent 2:46 answering a question about the running back’s involvement in the offense during his Monday press conference.
McDaniel raved about how impressed he’s been with Achane’s work ethic and production through the first two weeks of the season.
“It’s hard not to give guys opportunities that really are thirsting for the ball and are doing something with it, so it’s to his credit,” McDaniels told reporters. “All he’s done is given more reasons to get him the ball.”
The second-year player got the ball quite a bit against Buffalo, finishing with 22 carries for 96 yards, complementing a perfect 7-for-7 day as a receiver for 69 yards and a touchdown.
