KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Got Hair located on Westport Road is the salon that is located downstairs from where the shooting happened Wednesday that injured four adults and a juvenile.

Erin Fedor-Motes has owned the shop since 2022. She gave ring camera footage from the incident to KCTV5. It shows her stylist and customer who was an off-duty police officer with KCKPD running towards the back of the shop when the shots were fired.

“They were able to stay safe. She (the officer) was the one that went out there to retrieve the gun,” Fedor-Motes said. “She put on a glove and went out there and got the gun off the street.”

The business across the street from the shooting, Pop Vintage, was hit by multiple bullets, causing them to board up the windows with plywood.
