The Irish Heritage Trust has appointed for new directors to its board: Mark Bennett, Susan Cook, Patricia Kenny, and Séamus O’Grady.
The non-profit heritage organisation manages four landmark properties, including its 11 Parnell Street headquarters, Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens in Cork, Johnstown Castle, Estate, Museum & Gardens in Wexford, and Strokestown Park & the National Famine Museum in Roscommon.
Bennett has 25 years’ experience working internationally in the private, public and NGO sectors on environmental and business strategy.
He is currently senior director of climate strategy and decarbonisation at Goodbody Clearstream, and he was previously a director of Portal Innovation Hub at Trinity College Dublin, and country manager at Talent Garden.
He also founded an Internet of Things start-up and led sustainability projects for Dublin City Council. Bennett has completed traineeships at the Irish and US environmental protection Agencies, and the European Commission.
