Ionic Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:IXR, OTC:IXRRF) Managing Director Tim Harrison spoke with Proactive about the company’s expanding initiatives in rare earth recycling and supply chain development at the One2One Investor Forum.
Harrison outlined Ionic Rare Earths’ focus on enhancing sovereign capabilities for the UK, Europe, and Brazil through innovative recycling technologies, which aim to process end-of-life magnets and waste streams into high-purity rare earth oxides.
Key partnerships play a crucial role in these efforts. In Belfast, Harrison emphasised that the company’s proprietary technology, initially developed at Queen’s University and supported by the UK government, is now ready for commercialisation.
This technology promises a flexible, lower-capital method for producing recycled high-purity rare earths. “Our focus on recycling is a low-capital, low-risk approach that minimizes supply chain vulnerabilities for our partners,” Harrison noted.
