(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) People came together to grieve, support each other and share stories of loss.
Christi Miller, Counselor at Samaritan Counseling Center, shares, “I’ve gone to rehab. I’ve been part of the recovery community for Since 2020 so anytime I think that we can raise awareness, share people’s stories, whether it’s hope or loss, and kind of bring the community together. I think when we do events like that, we remember again, like it’s more about unity. I think this is what this does. It brings people together, and I’m not alone, and I don’t have to suffer alone. I don’t have to recover alone. I don’t have to do any of this alone. Like there’s a whole community here.”
