Inside Ted Danson’s Huge Golden Globes Honor amid His Career Renaissance [Video]

Ted Danson will become the latest star to receive the Carol Burnett Award at the 2025 Golden Globes.

A 13-time nominee and three-time winner, Danson, 76, was announced as the upcoming honoree on Monday, Dec. 2 in a press release as Helen Hoehne, the President of the Golden Globes, touted the “tremendous impact he has made and continues to make in television.”

The award, which was created in 2019 and first awarded to Burnett, herself, honors a figure who has “made outstanding contributions to television on or off screen,” per the release.

“Ted Danson has entertained audiences for decades with his iconic performances that will forever be ingrained in television history,” Hoehne said in a statement. “His renowned career is a testament to his remarkable talent and versatility as an actor and bears resemblance to the award’s legendary namesake.”
