Inmate who ran global drug operation from Pa. federal prison is freed but still in custody [Video]

The former District of Columbia narcotics kingpin who ran a major drug operation from inside Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary is out of prison, but still under supervision.

The U.S. Bureau of Prisons (BOP) confirmed Friday that Rayful Edmond III had been transferred to community confinement overseen by its Nashville residential reentry management office.

For privacy, safety and security reasons the BOP will not specify the location, conditions or the reason for the move, a spokesperson said.
