Ingram-Pye Elementary’s ‘Mystery Readers’ inspires a love for learning [Video]

MACON, Ga. — Ingram-Pye Elementary School is sparking a love for reading through its innovative ‘Mystery Readers’ project. 

Designed to make reading both exciting and engaging, this project goes beyond traditional educational goals, helping students discover their passions while building confidence and forming meaningful connections.

Every week, students eagerly anticipate the reveal of the school’s ‘Mystery Reader.’

This fun guessing game has become a beloved tradition, encouraging participation and excitement throughout the school community.

“It’s fun, not just reading out loud but reading the book itself,” fifth-grader Kashmere Holman shared, highlighting the joy and enthusiasm the project brings.

The initiative allows students to improve their reading skills while cultivating a genuine passion for learning.

Fifth graders like Serchion White and Holman embraced the project by overcoming self-doubt and gaining the confidence to speak publicly more often.
