Influencer Charged After Allegedly Spraying Pesticide on Walmart Food [Video]

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A self-described social media “troll” accused of spraying bug killer on produce at a Mesa Walmart store last month has been indicted on multiple charges.

On Tuesday, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced that 27-year-old Charles Smith was indicted by a federal grand jury on the following charges:

  • 2 felony counts of adding poison or other harmful substances to water, food, drink or medicine
  • 1 felony count of burglary in the third degree
  • 1 misdemeanor count of endangerment
  • 1 misdemeanor count of criminal damage

Smith, who’s known as Wolfie Kahletti on social media, allegedly recorded a video of himself spraying pesticide on food at a Walmart Supercenter at Stapley Drive and Baseline Road on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024. Investigators say he then posted the video on his social media accounts such as TikTok.

After police learned about the video, officers contacted Smith, who later turned himself in voluntarily.
