Indiana BMV closing Madison Avenue branch Aug. 30 [Video]

The BMV branch located at 1440 Madison Avenue will hold its final day of operations on Friday, Aug. 30.

INDIANAPOLIS — A BMV branch on the south side of Indianapolis is set to close its doors for good at the end of next month.

According to a press release, the branch located at 1440 Madison Avenue will hold its final day of operation on Friday, Aug. 30. The announcement comes roughly a month after news broke that the BMV was considering closing the branch.

“The decision to close Madison Ave. came after a thorough review of feedback received from area residents, as well as an assessment of branch activity over the past several years,” said Indiana BMV Commissioner Joe B. Hoage.

The press release says the branch’s staff will be relocated to the Indy South BMV branch, located at 3919 Madison Avenue.
