SHARKEY CO., Miss. (WLBT) – We continue our coverage on the Sharkey County Safe Room.
In a Board of Supervisors meeting Monday morning the vote was 3 to 2 to move forward with the plan.
As we first told you, several supervisors say even though FEMA and MEMA will provide 75 percent of the money for the Safe Room, the $1.8 million they must come up with is the sticking point.
Even with support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and MEMA to build a Safe Room in Rolling Fork, at least two supervisors and some citizens still have their doubts.
