Impact Plastics releases preliminary review, video statement

Gerald O’Connor said in a video that employees were told to leave 45 minutes before the flooding hit and that there was time to escape.

The company’s founder and president, Gerald O’Connor, released a video statement and press release detailing a preliminary internal review. 

“This preliminary review is being shared based on the company’s goal of providing the best available information as to the events and timelines of September 27th. Impact Plastics is aware of an investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and one by the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA) and will cooperate fully with the reviews by these organizations,” Impact Plastics said in the press release.
