A WALMART shopper has revealed why she has rejected the store and started shopping at Target instead.

The customer explained how a specific anti-theft measure had affected her shopping experience and added extra steps to her trip.

Tierra Charles shared a rant about locked items at her store, in a Facebook post.

Several retailers have resorted to using plexiglass to cover items on display.

This has included locking individual items in see-through boxes or covering rows with doors.

Shoppers would be required to call a member of staff over to unlock these doors and retrieve a product.

This measure has been put in place as an attempt to solve the rise in retail crime.
