NCAA title winner Tommy Burleson now sells Christmas trees for a living and he is giving back to his local community.
The North Carolina native won the NCAA Championship with NC State in 1974, before going on to play in the NBA.
He spent seven seasons in the NBA before quitting and becoming a Avery County’s Planning and Inspections/Building and Code Department Director.
Burleson spent 26 years in that role but now has a very different job – selling Christmas trees.
He owns a lot and has no problem shifting around trees as high as 7ft, thanks to being 7ft2 himself.
Burleson is temporarily living in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina and is selling trees alongside some friends.
