People living in Treme said the illegal tire dumping near the Interstate 10 on-ramp at Orleans and Derbigny is driving them crazy and they want them gone.”There’s always tires, there’s always a sofa, there’s even cars that have been abandoned in that section,” said Philip Stelly.Stelly said the area has been cleaned up before, but it seems to be a hot spot for dumping as more tires pop up each day.”It’s an isolated area — there’s very little lighting, it’s overgrown.
