I-94 lane to close for bridge work [Video]

CALHOUN COUNTY, MI — An eastbound lane on I-94 near Battle Creek will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 29.

The single-lane closure will run between Exit 95 at Helmer Road and Exit 100 at Beadle Lake Road in Emmet Township, according to a press release from the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Ramps onto eastbound I-94 from northbound I-194 and Beadle Lake Road will also close, as shown on the map below.

Shifting traffic will allow crews to disassemble a temporary bridge over Beadle Lake Road, MDOT said. This work is part of MDOT’s three-year, $160 million I-94 project to repave, rebuild and repair the road and bridges in the county.
