Interstate 80 eastbound will close overnight beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday at its interchange with Interstate 480 and U.S. Highway 75/Kennedy Freeway, the Nebraska Department of Transportation announced late Tuesday afternoon.
Workers will be milling and resurfacing the roadway through the interchange area as part of a larger project to renovate I-80 between the 60th Street and 24th Street exits, according an NDOT press release.
For Tuesday night only, eastbound traffic will detour using I-480, and Interstate 29 in Iowa. Normal traffic is scheduled to resume at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The larger resurfacing project will continue until next winter.
