A man who police think killed his wife and himself in a murder-suicide had made several mysterious comments on his social media in the days leading up to the incident.
Hannah Kang, 25, was killed by her husband, 34-year-old Youree Kang, who then died by suicide in their Austin, Texas, home on Sept. 24, the Austin Police Department said in a statement at the time.
Police responded to the home after Hannah’s aunt requested a welfare check on the couple, the statement said. The aunt said she had not heard from them in 24 hours; she later went to the home and found the couple’s vehicle at the scene but told police that no one was answering the door, per the statement.
When Austin police arrived, they found the couple deceased inside the residence.
“This is a murder-suicide, there are no other persons of interest in their deaths,” Austin police tells PEOPLE.
