GREENVILLE, Wis. (WBAY) – Hurricane Milton is impacting travel plans for people 1,400 miles away here in Northeast Wisconsin.
Some travelers are forced to look at different options to get to Florida or stay home.
Parts of Florida are under evacuation orders, and airports in Florida are making last-minute preparations to make sure travelers are safe. That means canceling flights and sometimes temporarily closing.
A flight from Orlando Sanford is scheduled to land at Appleton International late Tuesday. Right now that flight is still on time, subject to change.
Orlando Sanford remains operational and continues monitoring the storm, according to the airport’s social media accounts.
If you’re flying with a connection to Orlando International, that airport is shutting down for the storm at 7 a.m. Central Time Wednesday.
