Huntsville Police seek public feedback on performance [Video]

The Huntsville Police Department is inviting community feedback as part of its reaccreditation process with the CALEA.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) seeks community feedback as part of its reaccreditation process with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

Residents can share their opinions on HPD’s community involvement, public safety services, and overall performance through CALEA’s public comment portal. This portal allows people to submit feedback directly to CALEA for review.

HPD first earned CALEA accreditation in 1996 and has maintained it continuously. This voluntary accreditation, recognized as the gold standard in public safety, helps ensure that agencies remain accountable to both the community and their own standards.
