Söndörgő’s latest album Gyezz has risen to the top of the World Music Charts Europe, claiming the number one spot for September 2024. This success is further amplified by the album’s release on the prestigious US label GroundUP Music.

According to Index, the band, which has roots in South Slavic musical traditions, has managed to blend these influences with contemporary European jazz, creating a standout album praised by the global jazz community.

The album Gyezz features a collaboration with world-renowned jazz saxophonist Chris Potter, whose contribution adds a new dimension to the band’s sound.

Söndörgő, founded nearly three decades ago, is known for its unique use of the tambura, a traditional instrument in Serbian and gypsy folk music, as well as their constant search for innovative musical directions.
