- The show house was capable of running up to 128 IoT devices connected on a single network at the same time.
While the dust has since settled from a frantic Africa Tech Festival 2024 earlier this month, one of the key exhibitors, Huawei is still sharing some of the intriguing technologies it showcased in Cape Town.
This week it specifically shared a recent showcase of a Fibre-to-the-Room home, or FTTR smart home, which was set up in the historic Bo-Kaap district of the City Bowl.
The “All-Optical Intelligent” home showcase leveraged of Huawei’s FTTR F50 solution and the infrastructure of OpenServe, which was one of the first service providers to rollout FTTR offerings locally powered by hardware from the Chinese tech giant.
