- Huawei Cloud South Africa has announced the wider availability of its AI-powered Pangu foundation models local enterprises.
- The announcement was made at the company’s first-ever South African Cloud Summit.
- Huawei also confirmed that its Cloud Stack 8.5 and Flexus Cloud solutions are locally available.
This week Huawei Cloud South Africa hosted its first-ever Summit locally, which is notable given the company’s cloud services division has been in operation in SA for five years now. The Summit detailed what milestones Huawei has achieved in half a decade, as well as what is on the horizon for the company.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, artificial intelligence was a major focus at the event, with every hyperscaler operating in South Africa looking to imbue their cloud services with some sort of AI-powered features or enhancements to offer to customers.
