HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A third suspect has been detained in connection with the shooting of a Houston police officer Tuesday, according to sources.
As the scene continues to unfold, ABC13’s SkyEye is over a Taco Bell off Tidwell and US-290, where heavy police activity can be spotted.
The wounded officer, who has since been identified as Officer S. Durfee, was released from the hospital hours after the shooting. According to the Houston Police Department, Durfee is expected to make a full recovery.
Durfee was wounded Tuesday morning while responding to a home invasion in the 7100 block of Alderney Drive, near Antoine Drive, in the Spring Branch area.
